Sammitr are the only manufacturer in the world producing precision engineered, hard top, steel canopies for double cab and extra cab pick-up trucks. These are produced from 0.8mm galvanised coated motor manufacturer grade metal sheets and use a paint technology similar to that used in the automobile assembly industry. SMM canopies are known for their strength, durability, low weight, safety, elegance and environmental friendliness.
SMM offer two models, V2 and V4 both pressed from motor grade steel with a galvanised coating and multi-stage, baked, colour coded paintwork. They have steel framed, rotary locking tailgates incorporating heated and tinted glass. Other features include 100Kg rated roof rails, high level brake light, sliding bulkhead glass, sliding tinted side windows, easy wipe vinyl lining, automatic interior light and hide away fitting clamps. The new style SMM V4 also has two rear pillar reflectors and stylish sliding side windows.
Toyota Europe now use the SMM as their preferred canopy on their Hilux pickup.
Both SMM models carry a 12 month parts warranty.

Why purchase a SMM metal canopy?
- Stronger – steel is stronger than the fibreglass alternatives.
- Watertight- All SMM canopies are tested to make sure they are watertight.
- Secure – Unlike most fibreglass canopies, the SMM tailgate has a steel frame preventing the back from being opened in case of glass breakage.
- Quality - SMM steel canopies are pressed for a flat, smooth finish, unlike moulded fibreglass which often shows ripples.
